Ford bowed to pressure from regulators on Thursday and widened a recall of America's top-selling vehicle, the F-150 pickup, because its air bags can deploy at the wrong time.
Ford and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are set to announce the recall of 1.2 million F-150 pickup trucks due to a problem related to airbags inadvertently deploying because of a wiring problem, CNBC reported Thursday.
Ford Motor Co. on Wednesday recalled about 35,000 pickup trucks and crossover vehicles in the U.S. and Canada because of possible fuel leaks and electrical shorts that could lead to fires.
